Chad Stover, who was critically injured Halloween night in a playoff game against Sacred Heart in Sedalia, passed away Thursday morning.
Stover suffered what Tipton Superintendent Scott Jarvis said was a massive head injury with six minutes left to play. An ambulance was not present at the game, and paramedics had to race to Sedalia in order to get Stover to care. He was life-flighted to University Hospital with severe brain trauma.
His condition worsened as he remained in intensive care and on a ventilator since his admittance to the Hospital.
Jarvis said no statement or plans are available at this time for a memorial service, stick with KTGR.com for more on this story.
