A new store coming to Columbia wants to help you “live life on the cheap.”
Dirt Cheap is opening up a new Columbia location at 3305 Clark Lane, where customers can enjoy discount prices on beer, wine, liquor, and cigarettes.
Dirt Cheap currently has 12 locations in St. Louis, two in southern Missouri, one in Hannibal, and one in Paducah, Kentucky. The first Dirt Cheap store, located in Fenton, opened its doors in 1993. Two more stores opened that same year, and Dirt Cheap continued to grow throughout the region.
According to the Dirt Cheap website, the store aims to combine low prices with an enjoyable atmosphere.
“From the beginning you, our wonderful customers, have told us what to do, what you wanted. You told us you wanted us to uphold the individual rights and freedoms of smokers. You told us you wanted a large variety of products at very competitive prices while having a fun shopping experience – hence our phrase ‘Cheap, Cheap, Fun, Fun.’”
Dirt Cheap carries more than 40 types of beer, including Anheuser-Busch products, Miller, Coors, micro-brews, and Dirt Cheap store brand beer. The store offers a wide range of wine champagne for all budgets, including their 30 Dime Wine. They offer both low-priced liquors and top-shelf whiskey, bourbon, tequila, gin, and more. Dirt Cheap specializes in all types of cigarettes and tobacco, including pipe tobacco, roll-your-own cigarettes, and accessories.
The Dirt Cheap website offers several 15-second instructional videos for making specialty drinks, thanks to the store’s mascot, the “Dirt Cheap Chicken.” Dirt Cheap also has a Cluck Buck program, which allows customers to save $1 off any order of $20 or more with the coupon. In addition, most of their existing locations offer tastings from 4-6 p.m. Fridays.
