An area drug task-force launches a raid and takes several suspected drug dealers off the street. According to Audrain County Sheriff Stuart Miller, his deputies and members of the Highway patrol were able to make six arrests just Wednesday morning.
“Our task force officers have conducted an investigation for several months and they were able to purchase some drugs from five of the people we were looking for, and they have two of them for possession of drugs,” says Miller.
As of Wednesday morning officers were still searching for two more people in the area that they believe had left the county. Sheriff Miller says members of the Highway Patrol, and some of his deputies were also helping with warrants in Montgomery County where they had warrants prepared for 21 arrests. As of 5:00pm Wednesday authorities there had arrested 17 of those they were looking for.
