It is so easy to take things for granted in this world.
With the crazed, on-the-go 21st century lifestyle that so many live today, it’s hard sometimes to slow things down and realize just how miraculous life is. As a college student juggling two jobs on the side, I am definitely guilty of this.
Sometimes, there need to be moments or events in our lives that force us to stop what we are doing and put life into perspective. This Thursday and Friday, Zimmer Radio and Marketing Group will be doing just that.
From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, Y107, Clear 99, 94.3 KAT Country and 93.9 The Eagle will be broadcasting live from the hospital.
During the Radiothon, stations will be playing special patient story songs, which interweave songs- like Sugarland’s Love- with families telling their stories about their child’s illness as well as their experiences at MU Children’s Hospital.
In addition, there will be live, on-air, interviews with staff members as well as families that currently have children at the hospital.
Listeners will be able to donate to the radiothon by calling a toll free number. Donations can also be made online.
The Radiothon is the single largest fundraising event of the year for the Children’s Miracle Network. The money raised is directly infused into several programs at MU Children’s Hospital, including patient assistance, injury prevention and more.
Zimmer is truly blessed to be a part of such a great cause. It is enlivening to see the miracles that the Children’s Miracle Network and MU Children’s Hospital perform every day.
Most importantly, it is inspiring to see the children at the hospital and the smiles on their faces, even during the hardest of times.
We hope that you will have the time to take a few minutes out of your day and help support the Children’s Miracle Network and MU Children’s Hospital with us.
